Your new company
Our client is a large public sector body with an expansive portfolio of buildings and grounds across Northern Ireland. This organisation has a dedicated property department which is responsible for the development, refurbishment and maintenance of this estate. The team is made up of construction professionals from a range of technical backgrounds, including Architectural, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and M&E Building Services, as well as direct labour staff who are responsible for the upkeep of the grounds and buildings.
Your new role
This is a full-time contract position, 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday, based in either Belfast, Armagh, or Ballymena with the option to work from home 2/3 days per week, for an initial duration of 6 months, subject to ongoing reviews.
Working within the Minor Works Delivery division, you will support the design teams with Planning Applications, Building Control Applications, site measurements, design queries and the production of CAD drawings.
Projects will range from disabled adaptations, commercial extensions and refurbishments up to a value of £1m.

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role you must have:
HND/C in Architectural Technology/Building Studies/Construction
OR
Foundation Degree in Architectural Technology
OR
Other courses approved by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT)
AND
A minimum of 3 years' experience working as an Architectural Technician/Architectural Assistant within the construction industry.
What you'll get in return
This contract offers an immediate start based from any of the organisation’s offices - Belfast, Armagh or Ballymena with the option to Work from Home or 2/3 days per week. The salary ranges from £32,000 - £34,800 pro rata and will be paid on a weekly basis with 36 days paid annual leave. The contract is for an initial 6 months however there is a possibility for extension. Furthermore, this position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to build their client side / public sector experience.
