Project Manager
Reports to: LIPS Trustees and LIPS Committee
Responsible for: Oversight of Office, Volunteers programme and associated activities of LIPS.
Hours of Work: Part Time / Full Time
Salary: To be agreed
Contract period: Permanent. Subject to continued funding
Purpose of the role:
- Develop and manage the programme of LIPS Volunteering Proactively recruit and mentor volunteers for LIPS in order to achieve its objectives.
- Fundraise on behalf of LIPS, via grant applications, local Health Trusts, local authorities and organising and hosting various fundraising events.
- Continually promote the values of LIPS via social media and events for local schools, clubs, employers, and relevant bodies.
- Evaluate effectiveness of various LIPS initiatives by developing and utilising surveys, networking and communications with stakeholders, contributors and the public.
- Ensure the Office is maintained to a professional standard and is welcoming to all visitors.
- Carry out administrative duties and associated activities.
Main Tasks:
LIPS Volunteer Programme:
- Lead on the recruitment, development, implementation, training, and evaluation of a volunteers’ programme.
- Manage the practicalities of the programme, including development and maintenance of policies, procedures, standards, and budgets.
- Be responsible for recruitment and vetting of volunteers, including processing references and AccessNI checks.
- Monitor and review volunteers, ensuring they receive appropriate support and supervision.
- Plan and host knowledge sharing and social sessions for volunteers.
- Act as a central point of contact and for the coordination of volunteering enquiries.
Fundraising:
- Research opportunities for applicable grants and assist in the completion of Application Forms.
- Liaise with local Health Trusts and authorities with regards to potential support that could be offered to LIPS
- Plan various fundraising events
- Prepare and send out appropriate correspondence, invitations and thank you letters for all contributors.
Promotion of LIPS values
- Liaise with local schools, clubs, employers and relevant bodies to provide workshops/ mental health and wellbeing awareness sessions.
- Regularly post relevant information on social media and respond to queries.
- Regularly provide newsletter to supporters of LIPS.
Administrative and associated activities
- Provide data and written reports for internal and external feedback as required.
- Keep all relevant databases up to date.
- Oversee the smooth running of the office
- Record all income promptly and accurately

CRITERIA
- GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English: Essential
- Commitment to the vision and strategic plan of LIPS: Essential
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with people at all levels: Essential
- Competent knowledge of ICT: Essential
- Using client management or in-house databases for recording and collating data: Essential
- Experience of using email and social media: Essential
- Qualification relating to Mental Health and Wellbeing and/or experience of working in a Mental Health setting: Desirable
- Qualification and or experience of current best practice in management: Desirable
- Experience / ability of recruitment and/or supervision of others: Desirable
- Must occasionally be able to work outside of usual working hours: Desirable
- A clean full driving licence with access to a vehicle: Desirable
