Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large Public Sector organisation, looking to recruit a temporary Parks & Leisure Customer & Administration Officer to assist with additional workload (up to 3 months- possibility of extension). This Public Sector organisation is situated in Antrim & Newtownabbey catchment area and is full-time in office.

The Role: To assist with the overall success of the Parks and Leisure service by providing effective administration of leisure memberships, booking of facilities and services, as well as being the main point of contact for parks and leisure enquires.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Effectively deal with new membership enquiries.
  • Assist new members with account and booking set up.
  • BACS collection services.
  • Assist in New Member follow up calls.
  • Cancellation feedback calls.
  • Where required, provide external sales and promotion of leisure memberships.
  • Responsible for effective use of all management systems.
  • Liaise with customers, clubs, organisations etc with booking of parks and leisure facilities which include: ( Grass and 3G pitches, sports halls, swimming lessons, event spaces etc).
  • Assist in research and preparation of reports, including those of a confidential nature.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy.

AND

  • Be able to demonstrate a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a customer focused environment dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ administrative experience to including experience of accurate record keeping and filing.
  • Competent in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Desirable:

  • 1 years’ experience operating a fully computerised till and booking system or Electronic Point of Sale.
