APPOINTMENT OF THREE NON-EXECUTIVE MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF LONDONDERRY PORT AND HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS
Foyle Port is the key marine gateway to the Northwest of Ireland for both commerce and tourism. The Port handles approximately two million tonnes of cargo per annum and offers a diverse range of services. Supporting an estimated 1000 direct and indirect jobs, the Port makes a vital contribution to the Northwest regional economy.
The role of a Non-Executive Member is to bring experience and judgement to bear on issues of strategy, governance and performance and be prepared to constructively challenge and assist executive management in the development of strategic objectives and policies.

Time Commitment and Remuneration
The appointments will be effective from as soon as possible following Ministerial decision for a four-year term. The current remuneration is approximately £9,811 per annum (under review) based on anticipated attendance of 2 full business days per month.
The Members will be expected to attend all board meetings and other ad hoc meetings as required. This may involve a commitment both inside and outside of normal working hours, including representing LPHC at occasional evening engagements.
Women, younger people, people with a disability and ethnic minority communities are currently underrepresented on the Board and applications from these groups would be particularly welcome.
