Your new role
As a Civil Sales Manager, you will lead and manage the Civil Sales team, driving sales performance and achieving revenue targets. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
  • Providing precise cost estimates for projects to support competitive and profitable tender submissions.
  • Leading the bid and tendering process to secure new projects.
  • Supporting business development by identifying trends and strategies to enhance market position.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of civil engineering products and services.
  • Preparing and delivering accurate quotes, bids, and proposals.
  • Leading contract negotiations and ensuring favourable terms.
  • Providing post-sale support to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Reporting on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts.
  • Leading, motivating, and training the sales team to achieve goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participating in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Deputising for the Head of Sales & Marketing as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Management experience, leading sales teams or similar.
  • Strong sales and estimating experience in the civil engineering/construction sector.
  • Ability to read drawings and bar schedules.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
