MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client who is a leading and innovative provider of choice for high-quality and specialist engineering solutions across all industries and sectors.
You will:
- Develop and enhance automated systems and machinery, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure new designs or design changes are optimised for manufacturing, assembly, supplier manufacturing, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain Best Practice design support within the Product Development Process.
- Plan and execute product development and validation testing, ensuring thorough completion, analysis, conclusion, and direction.
- Build and nurture customer relationships through technical discussions, presentations, design reviews, and plant visits.
You will have:
- Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 2:1) or equivalent.
- Experience in the use of SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of PLC control systems.
- Proficient in 3D CAD packages and 2D drawing preparation.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
