Commodity Manager

Energis is recruiting for a Commodity Manager on behalf of our client, a well established manufacturing company based just north of Dublin.

The successful Commodity Manager will be responsible for the procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of the company supply chain.

There is the opportunity to work from home after the initial 6 month probation period.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the advancement of the supplier base to support growing demand.
• Perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
• Act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
• On an ongoing basis, you will interact with commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.

Criteria:

• Degree in related discipline (QQI level 8) with a minimum of 5 years experience in related field
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment
• Willing to travel up to 20%
• Analytical and structured in your problem-solving approach.
• Strong negotiation skills
• A proven ability to drive assignments to full implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners
• Experienced in supplier capacity, process, and capability assessment and able to identify improvement potentials.
• A good communicator and team player with the drive to implement changes.

Salary is in the region of €80 – 90k with a benefits package including bonus scheme, healthcare, pension.
