Manufacturing/ Production Team Leader

Exciting Opportunity for a Team Leader

MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company to recruit a Team Leader for their high-performing production facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced leader to join a dynamic team, overseeing manufacturing processes while ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with Health & Safety standards. You will play a key role in motivating and developing a production team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead a team to achieve production targets, ensuring products meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Enforce Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and compliance with company policies.
• Support the Shift Performance Manager in implementing Lean Manufacturing and WCOM principles.
• Diagnose production issues, implement corrective actions, and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure all quality inspections are carried out, addressing minor issues and escalating where needed.
• Provide coaching and mentoring, including managing performance, training, and succession planning.
• Maintain strong communication, leading team meetings and performance updates.
• Work closely with planning teams to optimise production schedules.
• Use SAP for data management and problem-solving.

Essential Criteria:

• 2+ years' supervisory or management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in driving performance improvements and ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
• Willingness to work rotational 24/7 shifts based on business needs.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience using SAP.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
