National Account Executive
Belfast based – Full time
36.25 hours / Hybrid - Field
£28k + bonus + Company car
MCS Group is delighted to be working with a leading FMCG company to recruit a National Account Executive to join the team and help to manage current trading accounts and prospect f new business.
The successful candidate will help to surpass customer sales & profit budgets and maximise return on investment in line with Sales, Shopper & Brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer portfolio with existing and new business to meet sales, shopper and brand objectives within the agreed parameters.
- To execute national plans at local level ensuring distribution & activation is in line with brand objectives & any additional support is within TGM targets.
- To develop collaborative customer partnerships that encapsulate the key points contained within the customer’s summary of needs.
- Translate Sales & Brand objectives into relevant customer business plans/ranging/activation and in line with their business cycles
- To work closely with Brand and NPD teams to ensure they are totally aware of key customers & menu cycles.
- Work closely with commercial planning and the activation team to ensure all activation, distribution drives & terms are in line with company & brand expectations, and managed through the use of systems, spend & budgets.
- Use insight to maximise distribution, availability and visibility of brands in account portfolio by setting specific targets /gap analysis, business plans and by identifying & matching customer needs to our brands key features.
- Always ensure that all new and existing listings are managed based on the brand & channel objectives and NPD processes.
- Ensure all competitor activity is fed back into the business as part of building a wider understanding of the channel & our key competitors.
- Proactively manage key prospect list to ensure targeting of prospects, including engagement with key customers and prospects contacts within the industry to raise
Experience :
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an FMCG sales or account management role, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, building strong client relationships, and growing accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with key stakeholders, including buyers, retailers, and distributors, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to analyse sales data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions to optimise account performance. Experience using CRM software and Excel to track and manage sales pipelines effectively.
