Exciting Opportunity for a Step up into a Quality Inspector role – Temporary (Specified Purpose)

MCS Group are excited to work on a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our clients team on a full-time, temporary basis (potential to go perm). This role is crucial in maintaining the commitment to high-quality standards and ensuring all products meet customer specifications.

Based on-site in Dundalk, you will play a key role in inspection processes, working closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.

You Will:

  • Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections in line with customer specifications and documented quality plans.
  • Approve in-process production by verifying specifications through visual and measurement tests and effectively communicating findings to production teams.
  • Collaborate with team members across different shifts to ensure smooth handovers and continuity.
  • Assist in training personnel on quality-related processes and best practices.
  • Conduct sampling for new processes and equipment approval.
  • Identify and document non-conformance's while initiating and verifying corrective actions.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in line with 5S principles.
  • Perform other duties as required to support quality and production objectives.

You Will Have:

  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience in a similar quality inspection role.
  • Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • A diploma in Quality, Science, or Engineering (desirable but not essential).
  • Proficiency with precision inspection instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work with both imperial and metric measurement systems.
  • An understanding of the importance of a robust calibration system for inspection equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
