Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Domestic Student Recruitment Officer within the Global Student Recruitment (GSR) team. This post is required a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave until 3 February 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver the key activities and targets to support the Global Student Recruitment (GSR) targets for Queen’s University, promoting Queen’s and its courses to prospective Domestic Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, primarily in NI and ROI, but including GB if required, throughout the entire recruitment cycle from expression of interest to application and through to conversion and enrolment.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in any subject plus significant relevant experience in a target focusedsales or business development role, working in education sector or service-oriented industry.
  • Candidates without this qualification but demonstrate substantial relevant experience in a target focused salesor business development role, working in the education sector or service-oriented industry at appropriate level as outlined below will also be considered.
  • Experience of managing and controlling budgets and resources.
  • Track record in successful student recruitment outcomes.
  • Experience in construction of business plans and marketing strategies.
  • Experience of developing and delivering formal presentations / information sessions.
  • Experience of networking and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internal andexternal.
  • Experience of managing a calendar of events and activities.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
