The role:

• Salary: £38,000-£50,000 (DOE)
• Product Development Engineer – Mechanical Design
• Permanent
• Reporting to Engineering Lead
• Location: Coleraine

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you’ll play a key role in:

• Leading the development of internally designed products
• Creating 3D CAD models & technical drawings using SolidEdge
• Developing product specifications, BOMs, and costings
• Sourcing and integrating third-party components
• Ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations
• Supporting production teams with jig/fixture development & issue resolution
• Assisting sales teams with technical drawings, site visits & product advice
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives for product quality & efficiency
• Estimating time, resources, and materials for future projects

What you’ll need:

• 4+ years' experience in design/product development (sectors: data centres, construction, transport, material handling)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidEdge preferred, especially for sheet metal design)
• Strong communication & leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects & stakeholders
• UK driving licence and access to a form of transport
