Role: Scheme Co-Ordinator – County Down
Job Overview
VANRATH are assisting our client, a non-profit organisation in their search for an experienced Scheme Coordinator. You will manage the day-to-day operations of our community scheme, including overseeing rotas, organising events, maintaining facilities, and provide front-of-house support. This is a rewarding role for someone with excellent organisational skills and a passion for supporting others.

  • Salary: £26,000
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 9am-5pm, with potential for flexible hours, although not guaranteed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and organising schedules for meetings, appointments, and events for the residents.
  • Coordinating rotas for staff and volunteers, ensuring that appropriate coverage is in place at all times.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the facilities, including liaising with external contractors for repairs and ensuring the property remains in good condition.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a warm and welcoming environment. Handling phone calls, emails, and enquiries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Providing assistance as required, ensuring health and well-being needs are met, and liaising with healthcare providers when necessary.
  • Organising social activities, including services, retreats, and community events, to foster a vibrant and supportive environment.
  • Maintaining records and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Coordinating and supporting the team, ensuring high standards of care and service are delivered.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a care setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support.
  • Knowledge of facilities management and rota systems would be beneficial.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
