Health and Safety Advisor - Coleraine - Permanent

The Role:

• Location: Coleraine
• Hours: 40 per week (Monday–Friday, half-day Fridays!)
• Contract: Permanent

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE plans to ensure full compliance and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and audits to maintain safety standards.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Deliver H&S training and support managers in driving a safety-first culture.
• Advise on fire safety, hazardous materials, machinery safeguarding, and regulations.
• Keep up to date with HSENI legislation and industry best practices.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety protocols.
• Produce reports, safety bulletins, and performance data for management.

What you need:

• 5+ years’ HSE experience in engineering or construction.
• Strong site-based safety management experience.
• NEBOSH National Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
• Solid knowledge of H&S legislation in the construction/engineering sectors.
• Full driving licence – site travel required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
