Job Description

You will oversee, plan and coordinate access to the Northern Ireland Railways Infrastructure to allow works to take place safely in accordance with the company rule book and relevant standards and procedures. You will support the management team in carrying out their functions in relation to technical, safety and competence management. In addition, continuously drive safety improvements in arrangements for the planning and protection of engineering works on or about the railway.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent OR possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory/assessor role.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a safety critical environment.
• Experience of using MS Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Able to work frequently at nights and weekends when required.
• A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of carrying out risk assessments or competence management assessments.
• Good working knowledge of the NI Railways Rule Book and in particular Section T.
