Civils Sales Manager - Ballymena - Permanent

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for civil engineering and construction? Riada Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in the construction sector seeking a Civils Sales Manager to lead their sales team and maximise growth within the civil engineering and construction materials sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader with industry knowledge to drive performance and achieve targets while contributing to the company's long-term vision. Key responsibilities:
- Drive sales performance to achieve revenue targets in the civil engineering and construction materials sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders in the civil engineering industry
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, expanding the customer base and solidifying the company’s market presence
- Work closely with internal teams and logistics to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Provide precise cost estimates for civil engineering projects to support profitable tender submissions
- Lead the bid and tendering process, ensuring all submissions align with client requirements and company standards
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clarity and efficiency throughout the bidding process
- Monitor industry trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to enhance the company’s market position
- Lead, motivate, and train the sales team to achieve sales goals and align with the company’s vision
- Report on sales performance, market insights, and forecasts to the Head of Sales & Marketing
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all sales activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and reliable service
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Criteria:
- Civil or Structural Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in sales estimating and selling within the civil engineering or construction industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills - both verbal and written
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and achieve sales target
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, reading drawings, and understanding bar schedules
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
- A driven individual with a passion for civil engineering and construction, eager to contribute to the company’s success
