A leading manufacturer in County Antrim is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of plant reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will develop and lead a high-performing maintenance team, drive a proactive maintenance culture, and work closely with operations to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
The Role:
As Maintenance Manager, you will:
? Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a safety-first, proactive maintenance culture.
? Develop and implement structured preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and reduce reactive breakdowns.
? Utilise lean maintenance principles to drive improvements in plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.
? Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure maintenance aligns with production requirements.
? Lead structured problem-solving initiatives (5-Whys, FMEA, Kaizen) to address recurring issues and improve performance.
? Manage spare parts inventory to optimise costs while ensuring reliability.
? Track and report on key maintenance KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
? Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments, audits, and training.
What We’re Looking For:
? Minimum 10 years’ experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
? Strong background in manufacturing maintenance with experience in both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.
? Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
? Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience using data-driven approaches to enhance performance.
? Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement process improvements.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and influence change.
? A third-level qualification in a related discipline (engineering, maintenance, or technical field).
