Head of Learning, Culture & Engagement
The Head of Learning, Culture and Engagement is a key member of the HR Senior Management Team reporting directly to the Director of People & Learning. This is a strategic HR role responsible for a wide range of people, cultural change and organisational development strategies to support NI Water’s ambition to be a great place to work.
The postholder will provide leadership and vision in setting the strategic direction of the organisation to drive performance, build skills and create healthy workplace culture in which our people can thrive. They will lead unique and exceptional organisational people strategies to support NI Water’s corporate goals and meet current and future business challenges.
The Head of Learning, Culture and Engagement will oversee a wide portfolio of work, leading NI Water’s culture and engagement and learning and development teams as well as NI Water’s Entry Level Academy of circa 100 students.
The appointee will lead a comprehensive range of key people strategies including Listening and Engagement, Health and Wellbeing, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, Corporate Values, Employer Brand, Learning and Development, Management Development, and Entry Level Strategy.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
1. Possess a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline AND a minimum of three years’ successful senior management experience developing and leading significant people strategies in a large, multi-disciplinary organisation.
OR (in the absence of a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline)
Five years’ successful senior management experience developing and leading significant people strategies in a large, multi-disciplinary organisation.
2. Demonstrable senior leadership experience in the successful development and implementation of learning, culture and engagement people strategies, that support organisational performance, including learning & development, employee engagement and health & wellbeing.
3. Demonstrable experience of leading and managing HR teams, including direction-setting and developing high-performing HR talent, build a strong professional HR team culture and ethos based on values.
4. Experience of relevant Stakeholder management including excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships within and external to the organisation.
5. Demonstrable experience of influencing and developing organisational people strategy at Executive level (Executive team and Board, or equivalent).
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

1. Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or Equivalent.
