Technical Engineer

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is self-motivated, well organised with good communication skills and sound business awareness to be based in our clients head office. The successful candidates will be expected to work on their own initiative and liaise directly with our customers. You will work as part of a hig performing and close knit team.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

• 2:1 Degree from Engineering-related discipline e.g. Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working with traditional materials (timber, steel and concrete)
• Ability to deliver major structural projects
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Manufacturing drawings
• Focused on Customer Service
• Good organisational skills
• Target driven & ambitious
• Excellent communication skills

Job Description:

• Carry out an individual design service using CAD software of any non-standard or bespoke steel lintels.
• Issue confirmation drawings for the customer’s approval for special lintel orders received.
• Using computer simulations to predict how structures will react under different conditions
• Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements
• Prepare accurate, competitive and detailed technical quotes based on information received via post, e-mail or fax.
• Deliver quotes within set timescales to maintain company’s customer service targets.
• Preparing bids for tenders
• Supervising project teams
• Giving progress reports to clients and senior managers
• preparing reports, designs and drawings
• providing technical advice
• Inspecting properties to check conditions/foundations.
• Quality assurance across projects
• Offer strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and complete client specifications
