IT Security Manager

MCS Group is seeking an IT Security Manger to join an IT consultancy, to lead and oversee both IT security, and operational security internally, and across its clients IT environments

• Salary dependant upon experience: £35k-£45k

The role

• Lead information security initiatives to reduce risk across the business
• Provide leadership, vision and direction to the wider organisation and technology leadership team in all aspects regarding security
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to achieve effective security outcomes
• Provide ongoing guidance and consultation to the organisation on security best practices
• Leverage operational security capabilities to address security in real-time
• Implement new security tools to harden your own internal security posture and that of your clients too

Required to succeed in this role

• Previous experience leading a team within cyber security
• Cloud management experience with knowledge of best practice architectures
• Hands-on experience securing cloud constructs & resources
• Experience in attaining ISO27001 accreditation
• Experience with security operations technology and procedures
• Ability to coordinate security assurance and testing practices
• Knowledge of security risk management, control design and implementation
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

What would set you apart from the rest

• Experience with any of the Microsoft cloud security stack including Azure Sentinel, Azure Security Centre, Azure Active Directory, Defender, O365 Security, Cloud App Security, Endpoint Manager etc.
• Network security experience
• Relevant security qualification such as CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, ISO27001 Practitioner etc.
