Your new role

They are seeking a Finishing Supervisor to oversee the final stages of a prestigious project involving 120 apartments in one of Northern Ireland’s largest housing developments. In this role, you will ensure that all finishing work is completed to the highest standards, delivering impeccable quality and attention to detail. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating finishing trades, including painters, plasterers, carpenters, and tilers.
  • Ensuring that all finishing work is completed on schedule and meets the required quality standards.
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify and address any defects or issues promptly.
  • Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintaining detailed records of work progress and addressing any variations or changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Providing clear and effective communication with the project team to ensure smooth handover and client satisfaction.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need extensive experience in finishing work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to manage and motivate finishing trades effectively. You should have a thorough understanding of finishing techniques and materials, as well as familiarity with relevant Health & Safety regulations. Relevant certifications and tickets, such as CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS will be essential. Additionally, your ability to efficiently manage resources, prioritise tasks, and collaborate with team members will be crucial. A proactive and hands-on approach, combined with the capacity to make informed decisions, will ensure that all finishing work meets the highest standards and deadlines are consistently met.
