Planning/Purchasing Administrator - Mallusk (Progression)

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a Major Manufacturing Company in Newtownabbey with the Recruitment of a Planning/Purchasing Administrator.

Salary - £24,000 - £24500 + Progression Opportunities

Hours - Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2:30 pm (40 Hours Per Week)

Responsibilities:

• Follow company systems and procedures for stock control and management using Dynamics 365 (ERP/MRP);
• Placing and managing Purchase Orders for stock, consumables and special items as required, including liaising with suppliers;
• Generate reports on supply performance, inventory levels and planning/purchasing activities - communicating issues to relevant stakeholders;
• Monitor production schedules to ensure alignment with order requirements, adjusting as necessary based on supply chain or manufacturing changes;
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products;
• Maintain and update planning and purchasing information;

Essential Criteria:

• 1 year in a planning, purchasing or stock control role or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

Desired Criteria:

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar) for managing inventory and production/purchasing activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel for data analysis, inventory control, and reporting purposes
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data related to inventory levels, production schedules, and supplier performance
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
