Technical Delivery Manager - Contract

MCS Group is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager with a strong technical background to work alongside our client in the financial services sector. The successful Contract Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of a bespoke, complex, software solution. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to drive innovation and efficiency.

The Role

• You will oversee the technical delivery of a key software solution, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
• This Technical Delivery Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders, to define project scope and requirements.
• You will apply Agile and DevOps principles to streamline delivery and improve efficiency.
• This contract Technical Delivery Manager will identify and mitigate risks, ensuring robust governance and compliance with industry standards.
• Additionally, you will define project scope and create a comprehensive road-map for technical delivery.
• You will develop and oversee the implementation plan, ensuring alignment with business goals.

The Person

• You will have extensive prior experience as a Technical Delivery Manager within a software/technology setting.
• Given the nature of the project, a technical background in software development is preferable.
• You will have worked with Jira or Azure DevOps for project progress tracking.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-based technologies is required.
• You will have previous experience in managing and delivering large-scale software development projects.
• This contract requires the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Duration: 6 months
IR35: Outside
Rate: Negotiable
Location: Belfast - please note this role will involve hybrid working, with 2 - 3 days on-site each week for the duration of the contract.
