VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with an award winning global business based in Belfast to recruit a technically strong Newly Qualified/Financial Accountant to join the growing finance team based in their state of the art offices.

Reporting to the Finance Manager (EMEA) this is a newly created role, the Newly Qualified/Financial Accountant will have responsibility for all month end activities for a number of sites throughout EMEA and would suit a technically strong accountant keen to join a fast paced international business

About you

• Qualified accountant or someone with strong experience in a similar role
• Excellent Excel and systems experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with remote senior stakeholders

What you’ll do

• Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries, with the flexibility and capability to work across different subsidiaries and currencies.
• Support Month end close and annual close process: accounting entries, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed asset depreciation, reviewing financial documents for accuracy
• Prepare journal entries and perform monthly bank account reconciliation
• Review all Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy and process Purchase Orders.
• Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and respond to auditor requests.
• Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed and as assigned by the EMEA Accounting Manager
