VANRATH are delighted to be supporting a recognisable Public Sector employer based in Belfast city centre in their recruitment of an Interim Accountant. This is a temporary position for an initial period of 6 months and can offer the opportunity for an immediate start.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the DP Accountant will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring the timely and accurate monitoring of budgets/forecasts, and supporting the wider finance team during the upcoming year end.

About you

• Qualified Accountant
• Financial & Management Accountant experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Available at short notice
• Ability to work as part of a team, alongside using own initiative

What you’ll do

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly files
• Analyse data, investigating & reporting on variances
• Budgeting & forecasting
• Prepare monthly journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
