Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge? MCS Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run food business based in Drogheda that is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced food production environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

???? Provide technical support for machine maintenance, installations, and modifications
?? Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
???? Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults and carry out preventative maintenance
???? Support plant facilities, including compressed air, refrigeration, and steam systems
???? Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure spare parts availability
??????? Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with food safety regulations

What We’re Looking For:

?? Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC or above)
?? Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within the food or FMCG industry (3-5 years ideally)
?? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
?? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
?? Good communication and time management skills
?? Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate documentation
