Salary: £40,000
Shift: Day shift role with flexibility

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our clients fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery and electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out routine maintenance, and working with external contractors when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring smooth operation of all systems.
• Install, service, and maintain electrical components such as motors, control panels, sensors, and wiring.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Liaise with external technicians and contractors for specialised repairs and support.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and report on equipment performance.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure machinery meets operational needs.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

? NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Engineering discipline
? Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, preferably in food production.
? Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
? Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
? Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.
