Our client is a well established food manufacturing
company based near Dungannon, and are currently on the market for a Quality
Manager to join their team.
The successful Quality Manager will oversee
the Quality & Hygiene Department, the people within, with responsibility
for site food safety and quality, relevant systems policies, procedures and
equipment.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for end-to-end food safety and
quality by supporting operations at each critical stage
·
Support and proactively design and drive
continuous improvement initiatives within the department to improve quality
standards.
·
Ensure strict adherence to food safety and
hygiene standards
·
Planning, coordinating and controlling all
activities and staff within the team to enable the business to achieve the
right quality product at the right time in line with food quality and safety
systems.
·
Train, motivate, supervise and coach the quality
team
·
Manage the systems audits and traceability
schedule and ensure compliance & efficiency of the pest control &
cleaning management procedures
·
Champion industry best practices and promote the
introduction of new technologies, where applicable.
·
Ensure food safety legislation and guidelines as
well as company policies are adhered to.
·
Ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and
housekeeping are strictly adhered to.
·
Ensure all completed work is safe and hygienic
and complies with FSA and health and safety legislation.
·
Ensure all necessary daily records and paperwork
is completed in a timely manner as required by the company.
·
Ensure Customers' audit protocol is strictly
adhered to throughout the site.
·
Assist Technical Manager in conducting risk
assessments, process flows where applicable.
·
Work in conjunction with the Technical Manager
to ensure Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP and VACCP on site.

Implement
Hygiene schedules, liaising with Hygiene suppliers, managing Hygiene team to
ensure the site complies with Food safety protocol.
Criteria:
- Previous quality
management experience within food
- Strong communication
skills
- High-level
organisational skills and time-management.
- Demonstrates
initiative and good problem solving skills
- Dynamic
and pro-active attitude.
Salary is dependant upon experience
and in the region of £40-45k.
