About you

  • Level 3 CIPD Qualification
  • 2 A Level passes
  • Two years’ experience in at least three of the following areas:
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on a range of HR policies, terms and conditions and employment legislation to include S75 compliance, monitoring and compliance
  • General attendance, monitoring of absences and reporting thereof to senior management and payroll
  • Co-ordination and participation in the recruitment and induction of new staff Undertaking marketing and communication activities to promote activities through social media and printed media


What you’ll do

  • Develop, maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice and overall general administration of the policy suite.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on a range of HR policies, terms and conditions and employment legislation to include S75 compliance, monitoring and compliance.
  • General attendance, monitoring of absences and reporting thereof to senior management and payroll.
  • Pension scheme liaison and administration.
  • Promote a culture of learning and development amongst staff, and engagement with senior management team.
  • Line manage receptionist and temp agency staff as required.
  • Act as secretary for board/ committees and other management meetings as required.
  • Co-ordinate timely responses to all Assembly/Parliamentary Questions and maintain a database of answers.
  • Where gaps exist in service provision, fulfil basic facilities management tasks with a “can-do” approach.
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure that specifications of contracts are adhered to and improvements in service provision are agreed, i.e. security, cleaning
