Job Description:

As a Senior Developer, you’ll be providing technical leadership across high-impact client projects, collaborating with both technical and business teams to design and implement innovative solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will:

• Lead Technical Teams: Guide a team of developers, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Design and Architect Solutions: Develop and implement robust technical architectures that meet client needs.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users to define functional requirements for new applications.
• Code Development & Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code for client applications.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse and interpret data to create insightful reports and recommendations.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver complex technical solutions with proven methodologies.
• Maintain a deep understanding of KDB+ and ensure best practices are followed.
• Work in Unix/Linux environments and ensure smooth deployment of solutions.
• Engage with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements, and continuously improve your skill set.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of KDB+ development experience.
• Strong experience in defining and implementing KDB+ solutions and architectures.
• Expertise in Unix/Linux environments.
• Proven technical leadership, with experience managing or mentoring developers.
• Solid communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• A minimum of a 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Python).
• Knowledge of cloud development and architecture.
• Previous experience in financial services or capital markets.
• Time series data solutions expertise.
• People management experience or interest in leadership roles.
