Your new role
In this role, your responsibilities will look like the following:
- Record customer and job request details on company systems.
- Initiate appropriate responses in line with business processes.
- Pay attention to health and safety, business growth, and service delivery standards.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Perform street work noticing tasks.
- Plan connections and process requests from utilities for plant location.
- Verify documentation and input data.
- Handle inbound and outbound customer contacts regarding gas emergencies, asset maintenance updates, and other business-related enquiries.
- Manage incoming and outbound telephone calls.
- Assist in the administration and planning of asset maintenance work.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints
- Input data and assist with administrative tasks.
- Update connection, metering, and service information on company systems.
- Interpret and translate technical information for appropriate responses.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) to include English and Maths at Grade C or above
- At least one year’s experience working within a customer service environment and dealing with telephone enquiries
- At least two years' administrative experience
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative without supervision
- The ability to multitask various activities.
- Excellent communication skills, including a polite & friendly telephone manner
