What you will do:

• Manage bookkeeping tasks for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Handle VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounts.
• Liaise with clients to address queries and provide financial insights.
• Assist in preparing financial statements for management and year-end accounts.
• Use a variety of accounting software to maintain records and improve processes.
• Support the accountancy team with ad-hoc tasks and reporting.

What you will have:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and bookkeeping principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for numbers and problem-solving.
