VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Business Partner to join a leading employer in Belfast, on a maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams to drive performance, alongside having the gravitas to present financial figures to senior board members. The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in linking Finance & Operations, to ensure the business decisions are being based on valid financial results.

Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, the Finance Business Partner will work closely with operational managers to prepare budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring these align with the company’s strategic goals. Due to the continuous requirement for collaboration with multiple departments, this role will be fully office based for the initial 3 months.

With an anticipated start date in March, interviews are taking place immediately for candidates with essential criteria listed below.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience of finance business partnering in a commercial capacity
• Experience of improving profitability
• Strong commercial acumen
• Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders

What you’ll do

• Preparation of annual budget, in-year forecasts and monthly management accounts package
• Prepare profitability reports
• Preparation of variance analysis to assist with decision making processes
• Preparation and input of journals for month end process and preparation of monthly back up schedules
• Commercial analysis
