They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their workforce due to an extremely busy orderbook for 2025 and moving into 2026, they are at the forefront of new build design and build projects, including student accommodation, hotels, and high-rise apartments. Your new role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational duties on site, managing subcontractors, project progress and ensuring the project is within budget and timeframe. You will be reporting directly to the Project Manager. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Planning and executing project activities to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force, the work of any subcontractors and the duties of the wider Site Management Team.
- Managing project budgets and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and timelines.
- Ensure safety for the public, site visitors and staff on site at all times, ensuring the use of PPE, the following of safety instructions and all aspects of H&S proposals for the site.
- Implementing risk management strategies and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to plan the project effectively, ensuring that project requirements, specifications, design drawings and H&S proposals are all agreed and that a programme is in place.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience managing similar high-end construction projects £5million + in value, demonstrating your ability to lead and deliver projects successfully. Relevant certifications and tickets, such as CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS are essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are critical, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring project milestones are met and client expectations are exceeded. The successful applicant will be required to travel to the UK for projects, so being prepared to travel is essential.
