About the Role
MCS are delighted to partner with a prestigious international law firm who are seeking a Finance Senior Associate with 6+ years PQE to join their Belfast-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in high-value finance transactions, collaborating with both local and international clients across a variety of sectors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise lenders and borrowers on a wide spectrum of financing transactions, including acquisition finance, property finance, corporate lending, and more.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documentation, particularly LMA-standard agreements.
• Lead on significant Northern Ireland-based transactions while advising on cross-border matters under English law.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, including leading banks, corporates, and institutions.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the team by mentoring junior colleagues and providing technical training.
• Work closely with partners and the wider global network to deliver outstanding client service.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland, with a preference for dual qualification in England and Wales (or willingness to qualify).
• At least 6 years of post-qualification experience in banking and finance law, gained at a respected commercial law firm.
• Strong background in general finance, with particular expertise in property finance and corporate lending.
• Confident drafting and negotiating finance documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising junior team members.
