This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to oversee the IT function and drive the execution of the IT strategy to support business growth. The ideal candidate will be tasked with shaping the organisation's IT vision, ensuring that the necessary infrastructure and systems are in place to sustain operations, and managing IT teams across Ireland and the UK.
A proven history of leading IT teams and delivering high-quality IT services is essential. This is an on-site position based in Enniskillen, with regular travel required to other facilities in Ireland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement strategic goals for the IT department.
- Identify and deploy technologies to enhance operational efficiency, leveraging public cloud, private cloud, or on-premise solutions as appropriate.
- Safeguard the organisation’s information stack, including hosting, networks, servers, storage, backups, user devices, and applications.
- Select and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Develop, review, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Supervise the organisation's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead the implementation of new technologies, offering direction to IT teams, managed service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage the annual IT budget, including procurement of equipment and software.
- Stay informed about technological advancements to identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
- Evaluate the financial, operational, and risk-related aspects of IT initiatives, providing recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in a senior IT leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and strategic planning.
- Expertise in contract management, negotiation, and organisational change.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions, with the ability to oversee diverse IT operations.
- Track record of successfully integrating IT systems in large organisations.
- Experience in designing and implementing IT strategies and solutions.
- Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and understanding business operations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic thinking with a strong business focus.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
