Hays Finance are partnering with a leading food processor and exporter based Co. Down. We are seeking a Company Accountant that will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy office alongside financial responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join the team and be part of the ongoing growth plans.

Your new role

The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will be responsible for all financial accounting including payroll including and will manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

• Oversee financial accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports using accounting software.
  Assist in the development of financial strategies and budgets.
• Liaise with external auditors and financial institutions as necessary.
• Daily bank reconciliations.
• Monthly purchase control accounts reconciliation and payment runs.
• Monthly & weekly debtors control accounts reconciliation.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of monthly cashflow forecasts.
• Gathering and summarising data for non-standard analyses and reports, improvement projects and programs, dealing with grant paperwork and any other admin paperwork.
  Process weekly & monthly payroll for all staff (30-40 staff).
• Oversee shipping documents in Europe, UK & Asia.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will not require a professional qualification and all relevant experience will be considered.
• Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE
• Experience in a finance role or management role preferably in industry / manufacturing
• Experience of financial management and performance management
• Proactive with excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of working with XERO accounts package would be an advantage.

This will be an office-based role from Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm.
