We are working with an innovative medical company based in Derry, seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join their growing team. This company is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge products in the medical sector, and they are looking for someone to bring their expertise to a diverse set of exciting projects.
About the Role:
As a Senior Java Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development and enhancement of software solutions using Java, Spring, and AWS. The team is small yet dynamic, comprising 9 talented engineers, and you’ll have the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders across multiple projects.
What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring, and AWS.
• Contribute to multiple, varied projects, each offering unique technical challenges.
• Work closely with a collaborative team of 9 engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
• Ensure software is scalable, maintainable, and performs to high standards.
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the overall growth of the engineering team.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and modern software development practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Experience working on varied projects, ideally with exposure to medical/healthcare technologies (though not essential).
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and collaborate with a remote team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid Working: 5 days across 2 weeks in the office, with flexible working hours (between 7 am - 7 pm).
