IT Project Manager

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a large public sector organisation in Belfast in adding an IT Project Manager for additional recourse on a temporary contract.

The Role will consist of:

• Work within IT Programme Governance Model based on MSP and Prince2/Agile.
• Directly support the Head of IS Programme Management to implement and achieve the IT Programme of Work objectives aligned to Corporate Objectives and IT Strategy.
• Own, manage and deliver projects against agreed objectives, budget and timelines measured against Time, Cost and Quality.
• Manage, Direct and Motivate Project Team(s) which may comprise of both internal staff and external contractors to achieve project objectives.
• Produce high quality Prince 2 project documentation to include Project Briefs, Project Initiation Documents, Business Cases, Management Reports, Lessons Learnt Reports and End Project Reports.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• At least 4 years effective Project Management experience which include meeting deadlines, delivering in budget and meeting all expectations.
• A minimum of 4 years experience of effective professional project management using both Waterfall (Prince2) and Agile (DSDM, Scrum, Lean) Project Methodologies.
• Qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner and Scrum.

Desirable:

• Experience of successfully managing individual project budgets more than £250k.
