- THE ROLE -

The post holder will support the delivery of key areas of teaching and research in the disciplines of Electronic Engineering. They will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes offered by the School of Engineering in the Faculty of Computing Engineering and the Built Environment and undertake research in areas aligned with current Engineering Research activity at Ulster University. A particular aspect of the role will be to support the development of the school’s partnerships with external providers, as the postholder will contribute to teaching activities linked with external partnerships within the School of Engineering.

- ABOUT YOU -

  • An honours degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a very closely related subject area.
  • A doctorate in Electronic Engineering or a very closely related subject area.
  • Evidence of advanced level knowledge and experience of Electronic Engineering, particularly the principles and techniques of Technology and Design applied to real world solutions.
  • Evidence of having contributed to teaching at the university level in topics relevant to the School of Engineering’s teaching programmes.
  • Evidence of the effective completion of administrative tasks associated with research or teaching.
  • Experience of presenting research findings at significant conferences or meetings.
  • Evidence of research activity and a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications in international journals, commensurate with individual career path to date and relevant to the School of Engineering’s thematic research areas.
