Hays Accountancy & Finance team is looking for an Audit Manager to join our client's finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting funding efforts for local community programs.

Your new role

• Plan, conduct, and complete individual audits, defining objectives, identifying risks, and performing fieldwork.
• Assess control effectiveness, document findings, and prepare reports.
• Ensure policy adherence and identify control weaknesses.
• Process Improvement - Evaluate and enhance risk controls.
• Stakeholder Engagement - Foster collaboration throughout the audit process.
• Risk Evaluation - Assess risks and controls against market and economic changes.
• Reporting - Communicate audit results and agree on corrective actions.
• Action Tracking - Monitor completion of audit actions.
• Committee Support - Assist in preparing audit and risk committee papers.

What you'll need to succeed

• Professional Qualification: A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.
• Experience: Proven experience of leading audit engagements and delivering all stages of an audit.
• Risk Management: Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, governance, and internal control processes.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships and manage challenging discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Reporting Skills: Experience writing impactful, concise, and balanced audit reports
