Baronscourt Estate is currently seeking to appoint a Resident Gamekeeper to join the team on our stunning Estate, situated in a sheltered valley in the foothills of the Sperrin mountains. The renowned Baronscourt Shoot consists of both family, syndicated and let driven pheasant, duck and woodcock shooting.

About The Role
Your duties will include working alongside the Head gamekeeper in the following areas:
· Operation of the incubation, hatching and rearing system
· The rearing and release of game and associated husbandry
· Game crop establishment, maintenance and management
· Successful running of driven and rough shoot days
· Undertaking pest and vermin control
· Assist with the running of the award-winning game larder
· Management of the wild deer population
· Any other duties required by the Head Gamekeeper within the game or other Estate departments
The successful applicant will be required to reside full time on the Estate.

About you
· Experience in gamekeeping and deer management
· As you will be required to assist with the management of the Estate’s herd of wild Sika Deer DSC Level 1 qualification is desirable.
· Practical, hands on and skilled with tools and machinery
· Knowledgeable in gamekeeping, pest control,
· Appropriate chainsaw and spray qualifications are desirable (training can be provided)
· Experience in ATV operation
· Possess a full driving licence and firearms certificate
· Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative
· Demonstrate dedication to meeting the seasonal demands of a professional, high quality driven shoot
