Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Assist in maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet agreed terms and standards.
- Procurement Support: Aid in the selection and negotiation of suppliers for the purchase of goods, services, and materials, with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Inventory Management: Help track stock levels and ensure that inventory requirements are met, avoiding both shortages and excess stock.
- Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring orders are tracked from initiation to delivery.
- Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, new products, and suppliers to recommend improvements and identify potential cost savings opportunities.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and assist in the preparation of procurement reports and cost analysis.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as logistics, production, and finance to ensure smooth and efficient procurement processes.
The Ideal Person:
- Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is beneficial
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
