My Client based in the BT7 area of Belfast require a Practice Manager to join their team on a Part-time Permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career in an established, friendly, well organised medical practice.

Reporting to the GP Partners the Practice Manager shall be responsible for the efficient, effective and safe management of the Practice and its finances, and ensure the well-being of patients, doctors and staff, and the successful smooth running of the Practice. The successful Candidate will be responsible for all office & nursing staff.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide management at an exciting time of re-organisation of the Practice and to provide management to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within an efficient safe effective and profitable working environment and maintain a happy and committed team. Accountable for the day-to-day administration of the practice, including responsibility for staff supervision, practice operations, financial administration, and any other administrative or management functions required by the partners

Other Duties

  • To take overall responsibility for practice in GP Partner's absence
  • Undertake any reasonable duties as required of the post


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Management experience in a GP Practice environment to include management of staff and finance systems.
  • Evidence of a sound education to A level standard or equivalen
  • Evidence of on-going professional development
  • Managing staff and team, staff performance management and appraisals
  • Familiar with employment law
  • IT applications, including MS Office
  • Awareness of HSCB requirements and other regulatory bodies
  • Premises management, including Health and safety and risk management
  • Business Planning
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and inter-personal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Negotiating skills
  • Delegation to ensure teams meet targets and objectives
  • Able to work autonomously & initiate/self-direct workload
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Relevant qualifications in healthcare and/or business management
  • Financial management including managing budgets
  • Experience of previous role in Human Resources
  • Experience of working in primary care or a health care environment
  • Understanding and awareness of GMS Contract
  • Use of EMISWEB
  • Awareness of Information Governance
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience of Change management
  • Awareness of the Data Protection Act 2018
  • Good sense of humour
  • Proactive and strategic with an ability to think with a clear vision
  • Driving licence
