Exciting Opportunity: Engineering Manager
Location: Northern Ireland
Hours: 45 hours per week
(Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with flexibility for occasional weekend management)

About the Role

We’re seeking a Engineering Manager to drive excellence and innovation in a thriving manufacturing setting. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will manage a skilled engineering team, oversee critical projects, and ensure preventative and routine maintenance meets the highest industry standards.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact, optimising processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and innovate: Deliver engineering projects that align with business goals and future strategies.
  • Manage projects: Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively: Liaise with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and food safety standards.
  • Risk management: Identify potential challenges and implement strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support product development: Provide technical expertise from concept through to product launch.
  • Champion improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance capacity, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Prioritise safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a clean and secure working environment.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a passionate, results-driven professional with a knack for problem-solving and leadership. You will bring:

  • A qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a similar leadership role within manufacturing.
  • Expertise in steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, process control, pumps, drives, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent IT, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Familiarity with BRC food safety standards and a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
