Overview

MCS are delighted to partner with a leading law firm in Belfast who is seeking a motivated and experienced solicitor to join their Motor Recoveries team. This role involves managing a diverse caseload in motor recoveries, working with high-profile insurance clients, and contributing to the success of a dynamic department.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Handle a varied caseload of motor recovery claims, including uninsured loss recovery and subrogated claims.
• Legal Advice: Provide accurate and effective legal advice to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Litigation: Manage disputes in both pre-litigation and litigation stages, including drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court.
• Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service.
• Compliance and Best Practices: Follow internal and client-specific protocols while maintaining industry standards.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless service and share knowledge.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in Northern Ireland (or equivalent jurisdiction).
• Open to all levels of experience in insurance litigation, particularly in motor recoveries or similar areas.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, subrogation, and applicable case law.
• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills with a proven track record.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under time-sensitive conditions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and case management software.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience in building and managing client relationships.
• Confidence in delivering presentations and participating in training initiatives.
• Familiarity with the insurance sector and emerging trends.
