The role:

·      Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements

·      Preparation of enquiry documents, sourcing and obtaining material and subcontractor quotations including final negotiations and placement of sub-contractor orders

·      Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure budgets are not exceeded 

·      Complete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final account

·      Complete monthly valuations to PQS and record all additional works items

What we’re looking for:

·      Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or in other related disciplines. Applicants with HND/HNC or strong construction related experience will also be considered for the role

·      Experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying role within a Main Contracting organisation for at least 2 years

·      Be articulate, pro-active with excellent commercial acumen and communication skills and comfortable working with minimum supervision

·      Be able to demonstrate initiative whilst working in a team environment

·      Proficient in Microsoft packages including outlook, word, excel and project
