Our client is a spin-out company from Queen’s University Belfast
developing game-changing nanotechnology that can plug into bioreactors to
monitor biomanufacturing in real-time.
They are a dynamic organisation dedicated to delivering
impactful outcomes through a small yet effective team. Their focus is on

They are now looking for a Finance and Administration Officer to
join them on a full-time basis, with the flexibility to work a minimum of four
days per week, including up to two days from home.

The Role
As a Finance and Administration Officer, you will be tasked with
delivering finance, supply chain, grant claim and administration activities.
Working as a key member of a small team, alongside the CEO, you
will help to deliver the overall business strategy.
Specifically, you will record financial transactions, prepare
VAT and statutory returns, reconcile accounts and process payroll. You will
also prepare management accounts, budget forecasts, and cash flow projections,
while supporting annual audits with external auditors.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage supplier accounts
- Oversee grant claims and audits
- Support HR management activities
- Manage insurance renewals, office facilities and travel
arrangements
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the organisation
About You
To be considered as the Finance and Administration Officer, you
will need:
- An accounting qualification or equivalent experience
- At least four years’ experience in a financial and
administration role
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A self-motivated, team-focused approach with the ability to
handle multiple responsibilities
Experience in an SME would be beneficial to your application.
Experience compiling grant claims for IUK would also be advantageous but is not
essential.
