Position: Advice and Compliance Training Officer
Duration: Placement until 31 March
Salary: £34,524
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (office-based)

We are seeking a dedicated Advice and Compliance Officer to join a professional team within the Advice & Compliance Directorate of our client.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisory Support for Employers:
  • Provide effective guidance to employers, helping them meet their responsibilities under equality legislation.
  • Advise on employment practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and Codes of Practice.
  • Conduct meetings with employers to offer tailored advice and recommendations.
  • Training and Awareness:
  • Develop and deliver training programmes and briefings to employers, trade unions, and other stakeholders.
  • Promote good practice and deepen understanding of equality legislation.
  • Resource Development:
  • Prepare and consult on employment-related guidance and resource materials for publication.
  • Project Work and Partnerships:
  • Lead initiatives to build links and partnerships with relevant networks and organisations.
  • Undertake key projects aligned with organisational goals.
  • Representation and Outreach:
  • Represent the organisation at conferences, seminars, and forums.
  • Organise events and actively engage with external stakeholders to promote equality.
  • Ideal Candidate:

    • A strong understanding of equality legislation and related Codes of Practice.
    • Experience in providing advice and guidance in a professional capacity.
    • Proven ability to deliver impactful training and develop comprehensive guidance materials.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage partnerships and projects effectively.
    • Commitment to promoting equality and diversity in employment practices.
