Maintenance Electrician – Day Shift

Location: Derry/Londonderry Area
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Salary: Generous and competitive, based on experience

Our client, a long-established and thriving local manufacturer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This new role has been created due to the company’s ongoing growth and significant investment in its facilities.

The Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimising the company’s modern machinery and electrical systems. Your focus will be on minimising downtime, improving efficiency, and supporting the production team with proactive and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Execute preventive maintenance plans to enhance reliability and system performance.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical components, wiring, and control systems.
  • Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to breakdowns and emergency repairs.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively in coordination with production and engineering leadership.
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and keep records up to date.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Relevant electrical maintenance qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems is a strong advantage.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
